Veg food tasting (free) and bake sale at the Hillcrest Farmers Market, DMV parking lot at Lincoln and Normal Streets in Hillcrest, where we will be joined by San Diego Councilmember Todd Gloria! MAP

Movie night and veg book reviews at Café Libertalia, 3834 5th Avenue (between University and Robinson) in Hillcrest. Bluestocking Books will provide an opportunity to purchase reviewed books on location before the movie. MAP

Lecture by nutritionist Janice Stanger, PhD at the World Beat Center in Balboa Park, 2100 Park Blvd. With special appearance by Assembly member Lori Saldaña. MAP

Vegan drinks mixer at Pizza Fusion, 3827 5th Ave (between University and Robinson) in Hillcrest. $3 pints of beers from craft breweres including Alesmith, Stone Brewing, and Eel River, 1/2 price glasses of wine, and 1/2 price personal vegan pizzas! $5 raffle tickets for a chance to win a FREE vegan pizza every week for one year! Learn what foods to keep on hand and how to combine them for plant-powered eating! The event is free, but registration is required so we know how many samples to provide!
